Is my life following the scriptures?
I have been challenged by a couple of things I have heard or read lately, simply thought I would share ....
'Often, men are not in love with Jesus, and the world is more intoxicating.'
- Wow .... If you followed me around, would you say I was in love with Jesus? Or would you see my love for the world ...? (Honest answer: you would say I like Jesus, and I think he is good)
In another place (Book 'Not a Fan') I was challenged to list the things I have given up to follow Jesus:
- I had a blank list. When pushed, I can scrape up a couple pretty lame things ... What does this say?
And then 1 John 2:6 - Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

Do You Really Love Him?

If what we call love doesn't take us beyond ourselves, it is not really love. If we have the idea that love is characterized as cautious, wise, sensible, shrewd, and never taken to extremes, we have missed the true meaning. C'ville!
Another run is in the books. But this one.......................was special. Coopersville Pabama is underway! Some Knights decided (possibly against better judgement) to brave the elements Thursday evening, and headed to Coopersville (not to be confused with Poopersville). We first began by loading up at the local Family Fare (SEE FUNNY STORY #1 BELOW). Groceries were the main focus, although DuBois did get sidetracked checking out bed sheets in the frozen food aisle - you will have to ask him about it. And Dyk kept trying to have fun while we were trying to stay focused. This load was delivered to my student Juan and his family. Stepdad Steve shoveled the Friday, February 1, 2013

Some of you out there might be saying to youself, "Hmm. Ok. I think I understand what this word Pabama means. But what exactly is a Pabama Knight?"
I was contacted to help a gentleman move. Thinking we could schedule that sometime in the next week or two, I contacted him. As luck would have it, Dan needed to be moved out in the next 3 days or so, because he was going to get evicted. So I nervously sent out the Pabama signal. But with such short notice and the busyness of our lives, could we really pull it off?
Praise God - yes! No less than 7 Knights responded and helped us move Dan from his 2 bedroom apartment to 2 storage units. Plus we had at least 2 others on hold willing to come out after their fraternity meeting at church. Thank you guys for always being willing to be God's hands and feet - even if it is COLD outside! Special thanks to Buelow for the trailor.
This is an example of what it means to be a Pabama Knight. Answering God's calling, no matter how busy, cold, or crazy life gets. There are many Knights out there. God, continue to use us.
To God be the Glory!
