Chicago Work

 A lot of cleaning was done in and around the Boxing Club in Chicago.  This included the mirrors,

 bathrooms,












and even getting rid of some foliage outside.





Jacob Weesies and friends spent a morning painting a bunch of chairs for the Club.

At the thrift store, we all worked very hard every day.  Check out the mountain of bags.  That pile was about 2-3 feet higher at the beginning of the week, and has been higher in the past.  Patti (towards left in picture) and Barbara (not pictured) spend 8 hours a day emptying and sorting that pile every day.  The girls from our group pitched in and made some friends very quickly.


The main job of the guys (and a couple of tough girls) was to clean up the yard.  The main project that Keyan (aka Q) and Weesiens (aka B.A. and P.J.- nicknames to be explained later) took pride in was clearing the "Jungle".  This whole stretch was about 4 feet tall or higher.  It took all week, but looked GREAT!


I really appreciated the hard work of the kids.  It made me work hard just watching them working hard.  And the bottom line that we all agreed on:  "To God Be The Glory!"
