“Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” - Luke 3:11
Pabama: (Rhymes with Alabama) Def: A feeling that there is more. A desire to make a difference, to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Not willing to accept the current state of the world, and not wishing to point any fingers. The burning desire to improve, to fall and fail, to be picked up and try again. To prepare ourselves for eternity. To stand triumphant one day, only through Jesus, and hear, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

"It's Better To Sweat in the Gym, than to Bleed in the Streets!"

One part of Restoration Ministries (RM) is "The Boxing Club".  As I said before, RM is located in Harvey, Illinois, which has an extremely high poverty rate, as well as a very real presence of two strong gangs.  Because of this, there are many young kids in the streets every day making decisions that I would not wish upon anyone.  This led to the development of the Boxing club, which is half boxing club and half art/dancing/drama studio.  Every day kids file in and out of this building, spending time with loving coaches and teachers that are showing these young ones God's love.

Getting a tour of the place.  Alex Martin (in red if you click on his name) is likely the most famous of the boxers to come out of this place.  He was the 2012 National Golden Gloves champion.

Poker in the boxing ring.  If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.  And I lost.  (No money involved, in case you worry about that kind of thing!)

Listening to Karen talk about this room, where the ladies stayed.  This is in the art/drama/dancing half of the building.

Plenty of play time this week.  Wyatt, not sure what you said, but don't mess with Mackenzie!
