“Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” - Luke 3:11
Pabama: (Rhymes with Alabama) Def: A feeling that there is more. A desire to make a difference, to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Not willing to accept the current state of the world, and not wishing to point any fingers. The burning desire to improve, to fall and fail, to be picked up and try again. To prepare ourselves for eternity. To stand triumphant one day, only through Jesus, and hear, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Family Challenge #7

Ok, a new week and a new challenge.  So far, we have been challenged to share God's love with a single parent, an elderly person, someone involved in the Coast Guard, a Neighbor, a teacher, and a student.  And those are all wonderful, but this week's challenge may be the most important one yet.  Let's share God's love with someone who does not believe that God loves them!

Again, use this as an opportunity to have a conversation with your children about WHY we do this.  Point them to Bible verses that command us to love others and do something because of this love (I believe there is even a verse at the top of this website - hint, hint).

Seeing the statistics in Pastor Bruce's sermon again today was a good reminder that there are more and more children not going to church, not hearing the familiar Bible stories and not even knowing that God loves them.  Let's tell them!  Use some discretion, but find someone you might know well that does not know the Lord, maybe a family, and pass along a little anonymous note/gift card, etc, telling them that God is here.  Maybe even a nice little invitation to church?  You are all much more creative than I am, so get  to work!  (You might want to stay away from ideas like the sign on the left).
