King of kings, in your anointing is a new life. Drenched with your baptizing and anointing Spirit, called by my new name, I rise up with Jesus, not a marginalized pew warmer but a member of Christ, a prophet, priest, and king. Alive to Christ, let me live out my true identity today. Amen.

Do you believe this? In Christ you are a prophet, you are a priest, you are a king. Do you live like it? Or do you feel like you are not able, you need something, like more knowledge, then you can.....
27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should
teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him. 1 John 2:27
There is some history to this passage with John and the gnostic teachers of the time. But this passage applies to us today, and actually is part of the beginning of Pabama. When we accept Christ his Spirit dwells within us .... we are 'illuminated' by the Spirit. While this does not mean new truth is instantly revealed to us, or all difficult passages are explained to our satisfaction, it does mean we have the ability to understand and act on God's truth already revealed to us. In other words we can make the Bible meaningful in thought and daily living. And I can't even make it to the 8th chapter of Matthew without realizing that I have so much Biblical knowledge already that I don't apply to my daily living. So, while going deeper, studying, discussing, is all great and we should keep it up, we had better not get stuck there. (Boom, Pabama was born.) We have been illuminated by the Spirit, we are prophets, priests and kings (servant kings, but that's a topic for another day) of the risen Christ. We had better act like it!

That is a great reminder! I get so caught up in the grind, that I forget to be a prophet. It is a good thing that God will use me despite of my flaws.
