“Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” - Luke 3:11
Pabama: (Rhymes with Alabama) Def: A feeling that there is more. A desire to make a difference, to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Not willing to accept the current state of the world, and not wishing to point any fingers. The burning desire to improve, to fall and fail, to be picked up and try again. To prepare ourselves for eternity. To stand triumphant one day, only through Jesus, and hear, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Just Do Something...

I read this on the back cover of a book today....
It's time to try something new: GIVE UP!
Too often God's people tinker around with churches, jobs and relationships. worrying that they haven't found God's perfect will for their lives. Or - even worse- they do absolutely nothing, stuck in a frustrated state of paralyzed indecision waiting... waiting.... waiting for clear, direct, unmistakable direction. God doesn't need to tell us what to do at each fork in the road. He's already revealed His plan for our lives: to love Him with our whole hearts, to obey His word and after that, to do what we like. No need for hocus-pocus. No need to be directionally challenged. JUST DO SOMETHING.
-Pastor Kevin DeYoung -(Just Do Something)
Or as Oswald Chambers says "Trust God and do the next thing".

or as Nike says, "Just do it!" Too often throughout the day, I sit around looking for "God's will". I don't think his will is for me to sit around! Then again, I think it is His will for us to be patient.

Interesting.... From my notes of this mornings sermon: Waiting on God - Patiently (Romans 8:24), Expectantly ( Expecting that God will speak to us) and Faithfully (Do something, service, living out the word of God in your day to day life)..... Is Pastor Bruce reading our blog?? Or maybe....God is trying to tell me something... Have a great day!
